so where will lanzini play? if you had seen the game today then you will have noted how many times bilic kept saying that payet needs to play wide. because as a central '#10' he often ends up with his back to goal (as witnessed in the first half tonight) and isnt as effective, whereas when playing from wide he the naturally has the angles he needs to be effective. notice how france were a lot more effective when he moved wide in the second half. if tore signs then we will have five very good attacking midfielders/wingers. antonio looks to continue at right back and the other four will then fight it out/be rotated for the three attacking midfield roles.

Yes, I heard that but it seems odd given that Slav has just bought a right wing and looks set to buy a left wing (Tore)... surely that leaves the no.10 role in the middle for Payet?

Interesting point Slav made tonight about Payet being better on the left and roaming where he sees the play rather than sitting in the number 10 role with his back to goal. Slav accepted that he has all the attributes for a No 10 but his explanation on why he excels on the left was well explained because all season I was hoping that he would play as a No 10 but I now understand why Bilic doesn't use him there.

I watched it in the Hyuandai Fan Dome in Kings Cross. Quite a few Hammers shirts there.

As Slav pointed out they previously had Benzema , Valbuena & Ribrery.
The first two have been naughty boys & Scarface retired.
Sounds like Payet has been behind the latter two for a while.
Playing for us has improved him and given him all he now has. The world of football is littered with players who were in the perfect place & thought the grass was greener elsewhere
And it all turned into a pile of cunt.
